  1. * The following description shows how to check the expiration date of your digital certificates installed (imported) in OS (Microsoft Windows).

  2. [For Windows]

    1. To check a certificate using the Windows interface, select the Windows "Start" menu > Windows System
    > Control Panel > Network and Internet > "Internet Options".

    The "Internet Properties (Internet Options)" dialog is opened. Select the "Content" tab and then click the "Certificates" button in the Certificates category.

    Launch Microsoft Edge. On the upper-right of Toolbar, click […] (Settings and more) > Settings (gear mark) > Privacy, search, services > Security > Manage certificates

    2. The "Certificates" dialog is opened. Select the "Personal" tab, find out your client digital certificate listed, and then check the "Expiration Date" column.

            The "Issued To" column: Your e-Parcel ID

            The "Issued By" column: e-Parcel Global Service Authority

  3. Attention: If your digital certificate is valid to date below, the previous digital certificate is being used.

    Expiration Date of the previous digital certificates: Valid to 12/31/2019(UTC)  ·  Valid to 1/1/2020(JST)

    As our customers who use the previous digital certificates above, it will expire in year 2019. However, it doesn't affect any data delivery through the e-Parcel software after January 1, 2020. Despite using the expired digital certificates, the service via only software will be available as usual.

    Accessing the URL of the "e-Parcel Secure Enterprise - Web Browser" will not be available from January 1, 2020 onward when you edit user information or change password. For the extension of validity period, please be aware that you are required to take the update procedures. Download new digital certificate from this site, import it, and then auto-setup on the e-Parcel software.

Procedure How to check the digital certificates in the software 
  1. * The following description shows how to check the expiration date of your digital certificates which are auto-setup or imported in the e-Parcel software.

  2. [For e-Parcel VCN-CommCenter 7.0 or later]

    To start the software, double-click the "e-Parcel x.x" shortcut icon on the desktop.

    Click the "Certificates" button on the VCN-CommCenter GUI. The "Certificates" dialog shows your certificate information. Check the validity period on the "General" tab.

    [For e-Parcel VCN-AX 4.0 or later]

    To open VCN-AX Management Console, double-click the shortcut icon "VCN-AX x.x" on the desktop. New window "VCN-AX Management Console" is opened by the default browser application.

    (Or, on Windows taskbar, in the notification area, right-click the icon "e-Parcel VCN-AX x.x", then select "Open" from pop-up menu.)

    On Management Console, select the menu "Authorization (Credential)", then check the validity period "Valid To" field.

    * For Windows 10 or later: If Windows does not show the e-Parcel icon in the notification area on the taskbar, right-click on the taskbar, then select "Taskbar settings" from menu. (Or, select the Windows "Start" menu > Windows System > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Taskbar and Navigation) On the Settings "Taskbar" window, under "Notifications Area", click "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". The icons list is displayed. Turn on the "VCN-AX Manager x.x" toggle to apply change to "On".

    * For Windows 8 or earlier: If Windows does not show the e-Parcel icon in the notification area on the taskbar, click the arrow next to the notification area on the taskbar. (Or, select the Windows "Start" menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > "Customize icons on the taskbar") On the "Notifications Area Icons" dialog, change the "VCN-AX Manager x.x" to "Show icon and notifications" as the behavior.

  3. Attention: If your digital certificate is valid to date below, the previous digital certificate is being used.
