Q&A

Question? Through the "Certificate Import Wizard", when I click "Finish" button on the step "Completing the Certificate Import Wizard", I have failed in installing a certificate in Windows with the error display.
(For example, the error display "An error occurred during the addition of a certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.")

Answer It happens often that the local security policy or domain security policy of your company may not allow the certificate installation in Windows.

In the case of the above example error message, it seems that you are not allowed to import Root CA certificate by the local security policy or domain security policy of your company.

If Certificate Import Wizard shows any error to be failed, would you please firstly consult your company's network administrator?

* For your convenience, please refer to this Q&A page which shows the correct settings "Certificates" of Windows "Internet Properties (Internet Options)" in the case of the certificate installation in OS (Windows) succeeded.

* Please note that you cannot access the URL of the "e-Parcel Secure Enterprise - Web Browser" without installing your client digital certificate in OS or browser. (The "User Info" menu on that site is not available to view and edit user information.)

However, you may have some difficulty or take time to change the security policy of you. Therefore, to promptly get started the e-Parcel software, the following different procedures would lead you through the steps of directly importing a certificate to the software (manual setup) instead of auto setup. Select one of the procedures A, B or C depending on circumstances, and then carefully read the instructions to proceed.

(* Note that the following different procedures configure the e-Parcel software without the "Auto Setup" function as the normal operating procedures which automatically work to detect a certificate from Windows.)

A. In case that you have not installed VCN-CommCenter 8.0 yet, select the procedure A below.

* The procedure A instructs you in how to install VCN-CommCenter 8.0 and then manually import your client digital certificate.

B. In case that you have already installed VCN-CommCenter 8.0, select the procedure B below.

* The procedure B instructs you in how to manually import your client digital certificate to VCN-CommCenter 8.0.
