Question? How can I edit my e-Parcel ID which usually use through the e-Parcel service.

Answer Upon your request, we will edit your e-Parcel ID registered. After that, you must be required to exchange your e-Parcel client digital certificate imported on Windows (IE) and then setup the e-Parcel software. The following steps will guide you.

* Usually, upon your application for the e-Parcel service, we register an e-Parcel ID same as your e-mail address. In addition, the e-Parcel ID works only in the e-Parcel secure data delivery service. The e-Parcel ID is not compatible with any mail applications. Even if your e-mail address is changed, it doesn't affect any data delivery through the e-Parcel software. However, it may affect some services such as the e-mail notification upon online password request. So, it is recommended that you request us to edit the existing e-Parcel ID.

1 Apply to edit e-Parcel ID
  1. Upon your request, we usually edit your e-Parcel ID registered.

  2. Attention: Please be advised that you should avoid requesting edit e-Parcel ID while the VCN-CommCenter are uploading and downloading any data. You must start requesting edit e-Parcel ID after data have been uploaded and downloaded.

  3. 1. Contact the e-Parcel Customer Support by e-mail (support@e-parcel.co.jp) with both your previous e-Parcel ID and new e-Parcel ID specified. We will reply to you in the business hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 - 17:00JST), even accepting 24 hour inquiry e-mail.

  4. 2. When edit e-parcel ID completed, you will get the notification by e-mail.

    After that, you must be required to exchange your e-Parcel client digital certificate imported on Windows (IE) and then setup the e-Parcel software. Proceed to the next procedure.

2 Remove previous client certificate from Windows (IE)
  1. 1. Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). On the menu bar, select the "Tools" > "Internet Options".

    Or, access the Windows Start menu > Windows System > Control Panel > Network and Internet > "Internet Options".

  2. 2. The "Internet Options (Internet Properties)" dialog opens. Select the "Content" tab, see the Certificates category and then click the "Certificates" button.

  3. 3. The "Certificates" dialog opens. Select the "Personal" tab and find out your client digital certificate listed.

    ·The "Issued To" field: Your previous e-Parcel ID

    ·The "Issued By" field: e-Parcel Global Service Authority

  4. 4. When selected carefully, click the "Remove" button. If the "Certificates" dialog shows warning, choose "Yes" to execute.

  5. 5. To close dialog, click the "Close" button on the "Certificates" dialog and the "OK" button on the "Internet Options" dialog.

3 Install new client certificate on Windows (IE)
  1. Next, download and install (import) your new client digital certificate on Windows (IE).

  2. 1. Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). Visit the URL for "the e-Parcel Secure Enterprise - Software Download Site".

  3. 2. Click the menu "e-Parcel Enterprise Service Menu". See the page appeared and then click the "Download Client Certificate" button.

  4. 3. The [STEP1. Login] page: Type your e-Parcel ID and password, and then click the "Login" button.

  5. 4. The [STEP2. Confirm your e-Parcel client software] Page: Select one of the e-Parcel client software appropriately.

  6. 5. The [STEP3. Check the security of web site …] page: When you confirm the security of web site which is being visited, click the "Next" button.

  7. 6. The [STEP4. Download and install a client digital certificate] Page: Click the "Download" button, and then select the "Open" a file.

    * If you use a previousrelease software; VCN-CommCenter 7.0.7014 or lower / VCN-AX 4.0.4005 or lower, click the "Cert for previous versions" button.
    (Note that updating the e-Parcel software is highly recommended.)

    On the STEP4, to import the digital certificate, carefully read the "Instruction for installing Client Digital Certificate" in figures.

    ! Note: Please be sure to read below.

    While the "Certificate Import Wizard", when it requires the password, be sure to place a check in the "Mark this key as exportable ..." checkbox.
    (If do not, you will fail in auto-setup on the e-Parcel software at later STEP6.)

  8. 7. The [STEP5. Access the URL of e-Parcel Secure Enterprise …] Page: Click the "Next" button on the bottom.

4 Auto-setup new client certificate on software
  1. To auto-setup on the software, the e-Parcel software will attempt to automatically detect your network settings and new client digital certificate from Windows (IE).

  2. 1. The [STEP6. Auto-setup the e-Parcel client software] Page: Proceed to auto-setup the e-Parcel client software to detect the digital certificate imported on Windows (Internet Explorer).

    * At the beginning of auto-setup, if the "Confirm Certificate" or the "Select a Certificate" dialog appears, confirm your e-Parcel ID, select a correct digital certificate, and then click the "OK" button to begin the auto-setup.
    [For Windows 10] Click "More choices" on the "Select a Certificate" dialog to view all certificates. Then, select one.

    [For e-Parcel VCN-CommCenter 7.0 or later]

    To start the software, double-click the "e-Parcel x.x" shortcut icon on the desktop.

    Click the menu bar "Tools" > "Auto Setup" on the VCN-CommCenter GUI.

    [For e-Parcel VCN-AX 4.0 or later]

    Right-click the e-Parcel icon on the Windows taskbar notification area, and then select the "Auto Setup" from the pop-up menu.

    * For Windows: If the e-Parcel notification area icon will not be shown on the Windows taskbar, click the arrow next to the notification area on the taskbar. (Or, access the Windows Start menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > "Customize icons on the taskbar") In the pane "Notifications Area Icons" of Windows taskbar, select the "VCN-AX Manager [e-Parcel VCN-AX]" from the list and then change this setting to the "Show icon and notifications".

    * For Windows 10: If the e-Parcel notification area icon will not be shown on the Windows taskbar, right-click on the taskbar then select the "Taskbar settings" from the menus appeared. (Or, access the Windows Start menu > Windows System > Control Panel > Taskbar and Navigation) In the pane "Taskbar", locate the "Notifications Area", click on the "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". The "VCN-AX Manager [e-Parcel VCN-AX]" will be listed. Change this setting to "On"

  3. 2. When auto-setup complete, confirm that the status is "Online" on the e-Parcel client software.

    (For VCN-AX, if the service is not running, start it using Windows interface.)

  4. 3. Confirm your e-Parcel ID and histories in Inbox and Outbox shown correctly on the client software.

    [For users of VCN-CommCenter 7.0 or later] On the left side of VCN-CommCenter GUI, confirm your e-Parcel ID shown on the top of a folder tree.

    [For users of VCN-AX 4.0 or later] Open the VCN-AX Management Console, click the menu Authorization > Credential and then confirm your e-Parcel ID shown in the field.

  5. All procedures are completed.The e-Parcel client software is ready for use.
