Question? Can I track the items sent to check the delivery status?

Answer Yes, the outbox in e-Parcel client software can give you the tracking information for the items sent.

* Refer to the section "Outbox - Tracking Display" in the e-Parcel VCN-CommCenter 8.0 Users manual.

* Refer to the section "The Outbox window" in the e-Parcel VCN-AX 5.0 / 4.0 Quick Guide.

Usually, the delivery status of the outbox items will be updated automatically at regular intervals while the client software is running and online.
(Auto polling intervals: 5 minutes [default])

Or, when you wish for tracking the outbox items promptly,
VCN-CommCenter 8.0: Click the "Reload" button on VCN-CommCenter GUI.
VCN-AX 5.0 / 4.0: Click the "Reload" button on VCN-AX Management Console.

Procedure Check the current delivery status! 
  1. When senders wish to check the current delivery status of outbox items,

    * [For VCN-CommCenter 8.0] If VCN-CommCenter is not started yet, double-click the shortcut icon "e-Parcel x.x" on the desktop. The VCN-CommCenter GUI is opened.

    * [For VCN-AX 5.0 / 4.0] If VCN-AX Management Console is not opened yet, double-click the shortcut icon "VCN-AX x.x" on the desktop. (Or, on Windows taskbar, in the notification area, right-click the icon "e-Parcel VCN-AX x.x", then select "Open" from pop-up menu.) New window "VCN-AX Management Console" is opened by the default browser application.

    Attention: To open VCN-AX Management Console needs for Windows to start the service "e-Parcel VCN-AX x.x".

  2. 1. View the outbox items listed up on the e-Parcel client software.

  3. 2. You can check the current delivery status of items in the "Status" column of outbox.

The current delivery statuses of items are shown in the "Status" colum of outbox on the VCN-CommCenter GUI.

Procedure For more details, Check the progress status! (Tracking) 
  1. When senders wish to check the progress status of an outbox item in detail (Tracking),

    * [For VCN-CommCenter 8.0] If VCN-CommCenter is not started yet, double-click the shortcut icon "e-Parcel x.x" on the desktop. The VCN-CommCenter GUI is opened.

    * [For VCN-AX 5.0 / 4.0] If VCN-AX Management Console is not opened yet, double-click the shortcut icon "VCN-AX x.x" on the desktop. (Or, on Windows taskbar, in the notification area, right-click the icon "e-Parcel VCN-AX x.x", then select "Open" from pop-up menu.) New window "VCN-AX Management Console" is opened by the default browser application.

  2. 1. Select and double-click an outbox item which you wish for tracking.

  3. 2. On VCN-CommCenter GUI, the outbox "Parcel Detail" dialog is opened. The tracking information can be found in the event view at the upper right of the dialog. The columns of "Time Stamp" and "Status" show the progress status of downloading at a recipient side.

    * Note: The status shows only "Create New" until a recipient's software is ready to download an item.

    On VCN-AX Management Console, new tab "Outbox Item" is opened on the browser. The tracking information can be found in the "Recipients" field. After the status is displayed in blue (link to [Show Detail]), click it to show the time stamp and the progress status of downloading at a recipient side.

    * Note: The status shows only "Waiting download(Waiting Request)" in black until a recipient's software is ready to download an item.

The tracking information can be found on the event view of the outbox "Parcel Detail" dialog on the VCN-CommCenter GUI.

  1. For your reference: About the progress "Status" on the Parcel Detail dialog in outbox (Tracking)

  2. The followings briefly explain the progress status displayed in the column of "Status" (Tracking).

    [For VCN-CommCenter 8.0] : On the outbox "Parcel Detail" dialog, the "Status" column shows the tracking information.

    [For VCN-AX 5.0 / 4.0] : On the "Outbox Item" window, click the "Recipients" field to show the tracking information.

    The column of "Status" will be updated to the latest delivery status progressively.

     [Create New]: Sender's software starts the sending processes for a new item. (Date Created)

      Note: VCN-CommCenter 8.0: The status shows only "Create New" until a recipient's software is ready to download an item.

      Note: VCN-AX 5.0 / 4.0: The status shows only "Waiting download(Waiting Request)" until a recipient's software is ready to download an item.

    The followings are shown as the progress status of downloading at a recipient side.

     [Waiting download (Ready To Download)]: Recipient's software is notified a new item and then ready to download.

     [Download Start (Downloading xx%)]: Recipient's software starts to download an item. → Recipient's software is downloading.

     [Download Complete]: Recipient's software just finishes downloading an item. → Delivery verifying (Decrypting and Extracting)

     * [Delivery Confirmed]: Recipient's software has confirmed to download an item after integrity verified. (Downloading processes done)

     * [Item Opened]: Recipient opened an item of inbox. (To open a "Parcel Detail" dialog)

     * [Item Moved]: Recipient has completed to move the attached files/folders.

    The status with *(blue asterisk) above will be replaced with the latest delivery status.
