Do we need any special infrastructure for using e-Parcel?
No. You don't need any special infrastructure, additional hardware or firewall modification. With the Internet connection, you can start using e-Parcel on your existing network infrastructure.
What kind of data can e-Parcel transmit?
There is virtually no restriction on the type or volume of data to be transmitted. e-Parcel can handle all kinds of data ranging from small-volume text data to a large-volume file of three-dimensional CAD or graphic design data.
What is the difference from the electronic data delivery services provided by other service providers?
Unlike other services using general HTTP or SMTP for data communications and control, e-Parcel's digital delivery uses the world's leading-edge genuine protocol of our original design which vertically integrates the OSI4-6 layers from authentication, encryption/decryption, data communications to data control. e-Parcel thus ensures the data security and completeness.
What is the difference from online storage services?
e-Parcel service is digital data delivery through Internet, NOT data storage on Internet. Digital data sent by the sender is transferred to the recipient via e-Parcel service. Once digital data is completed to deliver, it doesn't accumulate data in the route on the way according to ensure data security.
Do we need to resend the data if the Internet connection is interrupted the delivery process?
No. There is no need for the sender to resend the data. In case of the Internet connection is interrupted the delivery process, the delivery is automatically resumed intermittently when the Internet connection is restored. In the countries including even the region where the network circumstances are unstable, the secure large data delivery service by using the Internet can be provided.
How much data transmission speed does e-Parcel has?
e-Parcel is ASP providing the service that digital data delivery through Internet including customer's network environments. Therefore delivering the data takes time depending on your Internet connection speed.
Can we easily operate e-Parcel client software?
e-Parcel software operation is user-friendliness that is just as easy as e-mail application. You can start using it immediately after installation. Therefore it promptly and widely allows you to diversify into the parties concerned within and without of your company.
We want to use e-Parcel for data communications with our clients. Is it possible to provide our clients with the software for free?
The software license has to be purchased by each client. Accordingly, when you distribute the software to your clients, the license fee needs to be paid either by your company or your clients.
What happens if an e-Parcel-installed client's PC is stolen?
As soon as we confirm the fact with the customer, we nullify the customer's user ID. Since the communication log remains, even in case the e-Parcel service is used by a third party before you notice that your PC is stolen, we can trace and identify the transmission/reception time and conditions, data size and sender/receiver ID's.
How many companies in Japan use e-Parcel?
In Japan, nearly 400 companies of various trades, mainly those listed on the stock exchange, have contracted with e-Parcel. The actual number of user companies has exceeded 3,200.

How do we formally apply e-Parcel when we would like to use it?

How long dose it take to launch e-Parcel service after application?
We will register your user ID within 5 days the most. If you have little time to launch, please ask us. For more information, please refer to How to start page on this web site.
How do you inform us to complete the registration of user ID?
Normally our customer support will e-mail "Notice of User ID Registration" with the e-Parcel start-up procedure when the user ID registration is completed.
How is user ID figured out?
You will decide your user ID when we request you to apply the "User Registration Sheet" (user information) at the time of contract.

How do I edit my profile registered?
Please visit "User Login- My VCN" of VCN Login page on this web site. Enter your User ID and Password to login, and then edit First name, Last name, Company name, Work number, E-mail and Password on the menu "Edit My Profile".
I forget my own password to login to e-Parcel. How can I get it?
Please visit VCN Login page on this web site and click the 'Password Request' button to apply.
How do I change e-Parcel password?
Please visit "User Login- My VCN" of VCN Login page on this web site. Enter your User ID and Password to login, and then enter new password in the Password field, and confirm new password by re-entering it in the Confirm Password field on the menu "Edit My Profile".
Caution: When e-Parcel password is changed, you must re-authenticate new password on your e-Parcel Client Software. Refer to the next.
I can't send the data through e-Parcel after e-Parcel password is changed. How can I solve this issue?
When e-Parcel password is changed through the Edit My Profile of VCN Login page, you must re- authenticate new password on your e-Parcel Client Software. Access the Tools >Setup menu from the VCN CommCenter menu bar. Click the Change Logon Password button on the User Information tab of Setup dialog box. Type in your new password to update.
How do I change User ID?
Please contact e-Parcel Customer Support by e-mail.
Is it possible to use same user ID on more than one PC?
No. Please install a client software on only one PC. Using a client software authenticated same user ID on multiple PC at the same time may cause you some problem that could not deliver the data normally by impeding the functioning of user authentication.
